I am an insomniac

Insomnia. Maybe this word is regular for some of us, but some of us do not even know the meaning of insomnia. Insomnia is the distress and the concern of not being able to fall asleep when you want to. Insomnia does not associate with not sleeping. Some people who suffer from insomnia can stay up all night playing card games or enjoying themselves at wild parties without any distress at all. People grumble of insomnia only when they stay in bed and cannot sleep.that is what happening to me in last week, maybe because i write on topic insomnia in my academic writing assignment.....hahahaaha.... dear friends, now i want to tell you that if you have the symptoms of insomnia; you do not have to worry because you are not alone. This is because some of the well known political figures are also face insomnia. Lyndon Johnson, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy and Winston Churchill are example of well known person in the world having insomnia problems. Even Michael Jackson also have this problem. so...chill!! maybe this statement can make me fell 'okay' toward my insomnia problem right now...hahahaha

Jangkitan Influenza A(H1N1) Di Sekolah Atau Institusi


1. Anak saya belajar di salah sebuah institusi/ sekolah yang mempunyai kejadian influenza A(H1N1), apakah yang perlu saya lakukan?

Sekiranya institusi/sekolah anak tuan DITUTUP untuk tempoh tertentu, anak tuan hendaklah sentiasa berada di rumah dan memantau kesihatan diri. Pada masa yang sama pihak sekolah tidak dibenarkan untuk mengadakan sebarang aktiviti di dalam tempoh penutupan tersebut

Jika anak tuan mempunyai gejala selesema (influenza-like-illness) yang ringan, beliau perlu sentiasa mengamalkan langkah pencegahan di rumah di samping memantau kesihatan diri menggunakan Panduan menilai tahap kesihatan diri di rumah. Sekiranya gejala berterusan dan bertambah teruk, anak tuan perlu mendapatkan rawatan doktor.

Sekiranya institusi/sekolah anak tuan TIDAK DITUTUP, beliau dinasihatkan untuk mengamalkan langkah-langkah pencegahan bagi mengelakkan jangkitan tersebut


2. Apakah yang dimaksudkan dengan penutupan sekolah/ institusi?

Apabila sesebuah sekolah/institusi ditutup kerana jangkitan influenza A(H1N1), ia bermakna semua pelajar termasuk guru dan lain-lain kakitangan sokongan dikehendaki untuk berada di rumah.

Ia bertujuan bagi mencegah penularan jangkitan infuenza A(H1N1) dan seterusnya memastikan individu yang mengalami gejala-gejala influenza-like-illness untuk berehat di rumah sehingga pulih supaya orang lain tidak terdedah kepada jangkitan Influenza A(H1N1) ini.


3. Adakah sekolah yang ditutup perlu dibasmi kuman sebelum dibuka semula?

Tidak. Pada umumnya sekolah akan ditutup dalam tempoh seminggu. Perlu diketahui bahawa virus H1N1 ini hanya dapat bertahan di persekitaran dalam tempoh 48 jam.


4. Kalau seseorang pesakit positif H1N1 dan telah sembuh, adakah beliau boleh hadir ke sekolah seperti biasa?

Ya, beliau boleh hadir ke sekolah seperti biasa. Secara umumnya seseorang pesakit yang telah mendapat rawatan lengkap, tidak akan menjangkiti orang lain.

Early Money in the Country

In the early days, people exchanged goods by 'bartering' for what they needed. Under this arrangement, goods were exchanged for goods. But this is not always convenient. The carpenter must look for a person who can provide him with the right mix of foodstuffs in exchange for the table, which he will make for him. The indivisibility of large items posed a real problem. So did the selection of the right person to barter with. With time, it soon became apparent that a form of medium of exchange would solve the problems. A unit of measure based on something that was valuable, durable, easy to store, homogeneous and portable was required for this purpose. Gold and silver fitted the bill. Thus the use of primitive money in the form of metallic (usually gold or silver) tokens or coins was introduced.

Through the ages, money has become not only a medium of exchange and a unit and store of value, but also a historical document on the culture, religion and traditions of the society. Coins have been used to record historical events, such as the reign of kings, or the art and design motifs of the time when the coins were issued. The inscriptions, the designs and motifs used on coins reflected the important events, traditions and social and political changes of nations. With time, money in the form of paper currency or notes were introduced, as these were convenient to issue, use and store, as the economic life of society became more complex.

Early Money in the Malay States

During the Han Dynasty (206 BC-221AD), the merchants of China and India discovered that the best alternative to the overland caravan trade route between East and West Asia was by way of the Isthmus of Kra, the narrow neck of land that separates the South China Sea from the Indian Ocean. The Chinese traders would land their goods in the region of Patani on the east Coast of the Isthmus of Kra, while the Indian merchants and later, the Arab from the Middle East, established their trading centres in the region of present day Kedah in the West Coast.

During this period, the local people used cowrie shells imported from the Maldive Islands or Borneo as currency for minor market purchases. For a long time, these shells were valued as amulets to ensure safe childbirth and as fertility charms. They could be strung together to facilitate easy transportation, or to form higher denominations when necessary.

From the eighth century onwards, merchants from China introduced copper cash in bulk into the Malay States and there formed the chief, and at times the sole, currency of the majority of the States of the Eastern Archipelago.

The first native coinage of the Malay States developed from this copper cash. Owing to the monsoons and the shortage of ships to carry out trading, the shortage of the copper cash led local chiefs and merchants to cast imitations of the cash for their own needs. In the east coast states, this copper cash in due course developed into a truly native coinage.

"Syurga Cinta" (literally "Love Heaven") might be a movie title that seems a little cliche or unappealing to some but it describes exactly the plot of the movie. Actor Awal Ashaari stars in this movie alongside newcomer Heliza in a story about two Muslims of Malay ethnicity with traits and believes that differs from one another and how parental guidance bestows a tremendous influence on the child's future.

The film opens with the scene of Irham's (Awal Ashaari) homecoming being celebrated by him and his buddies at a nightclub. The next day, Irham was given a challenge by his mates (Shaheizy Sam and Fizz Fairuz) to court a pious Muslim girl, Syuhadah (Heliza). Within a month, he must break up their relationship in front of his friends to win the bet.

Placing religious subject matters in a romantic relationship related to youths, the movie is viewed as a medium to educate and foster its audience. There's no denying that there are numerous religious values implanted within "Syurga Cinta" making it something positive to look forward to. However, when the film becomes so dense, it shifted to appear as something unrealistic and seemed made-up by the creators of the film. It is true that the abundance of information and dialogues were inserted into the script, but are there actually people in the real world right now that would speak like how the film portrays people to speak?

For the role of Irham that is played by Awal Ashaari, it is not distinguishable from the roles that he had played in the past. Although, an applause should be given to Awal for his success in embracing the role especially during the scene where Irham went on to meet an uztaz and was finally aware of the sins that he had done. The role of Syuhadah that is played by newcomer, Heliza, however was not performed well by Heliza but it is forgiven since this is her first feature film. Hadziq played the role of Ikmal, an active and brilliant 8 year-old boy that is unquestionably joyful to the audience. His behavior is enough to make the audience laugh.

The director succeeded in sending out messages of religious values to the viewers but unfortunately, it would better if they could make it more realistic to people. To the fans of such films, "Syurga Cinta" is a touching and heart-warming film for you to watch.

Saya terpanggil untuk menulis tajuk ini kerana setelah 51 tahun kita merdeka, sedarkah kita sebagai rakyat Malaysia di bawah pemerintahan Perdana Menteri yang hebat-hebat belaka? Salam.. long time not visiting this blog. Almaklumlah.... assignment even gather and gather. Its a common…. boy do work last minute…but Alhamdulillah marketing assignment already completed…fuh!!!
